God Made You - A Bit of Humor
A little girl was sitting on her grandfather's lap as he read her a bedtime story. From time to time, she would take her eyes off the book and reach up to touch his wrinkled cheek. She was alternately stroking her own cheek, then his again. Finally she spoke up, "Grandpa, did God make you?"
"Yes, sweetheart," he answered, "God made me a long time ago."
"Oh," she paused, "Grandpa, did God make me too?"
"Yes, indeed, honey," he said, "God made you just a little while ago."
Feeling their respective faces again, she observed, "God's getting better at it, isn't he?"

St. Patrick's Skull - A Bit of Humor
Priest: Can any of you children tell me what Good Friday did?
Fifth Grader: He saved Robinson Crusoe?
What's the difference between Christmas and Easter?
After Christmas, some people will come to church in only THREE months!
A tour guide was showing a group of Americans around a church in Ireland. "And here is the skull of St. Patrick."
One of the tourists challenged him, "You showed us St. Patrick's skull in another church yesterday!"
"Ah yes," the guide answered, "but that was his skull when he was a wee lad."

Baptism - A bit of Humor
John Smith was the only unbaptized person in a large Catholic
neighborhood. On the first Friday of Lent John was outside grilling a
big juicy steak on the grill. Meanwhile all the neighbors were eating
cold tuna fish for supper. This went on each Friday in Lent. On the last
Friday of Lent the neighborhood men got together and decided that
something had to be done about John, he was tempting them to eat meat
each Friday of Lent, and they couldn’t take it anymore. They decided to
try and convert John to Catholicism and it worked. John decided to join
all his neighbors and become a Catholic, which made everyone happy. They
took him to church for baptism and the priest sprinkled water over him
and said, “You were born a pagan, you were raised a pagan and now you
are a Catholic.” The men were relieved; their biggest Lenten temptation
was removed. The next year, Lent rolled around again and on the first
Friday at supper time, just as everyone had settled down to their tuna
fish the men could not believe their noses – they could smell that steak
on the grill again. They rushed to John’s yard hoping he had forgotten
it was Lent. As they arrived, there was John standing over his grill
sprinkling some water and saying, “You were born a cow, you were raised a
cow but now you are a fish.” -- from Stepping into the place of sinners, A Friar's life blog.

Technology Tips for Religious Educators
I thought I would pass this message from Jared Dees (owner of the The Religion Teacher blog) on to you:
A few months ago I asked subscribers to complete a survey (you can participate here) to help me understand your greatest needs as religious educators. According to the responses, one of the biggest challenges that fans of The Religion Teacher face is effectively using technology.
On Thursday March 10, at 3:30pm EST, I will be presenting a free webinar on behalf of Ave Maria Press titled "Technology Tips for Religious Educators." Most of you know that my full-time job at Ave Maria Press involves technology and digital publishing. On Thursday, I will be sharing many of the tips and tricks I have learned using technology in the classroom.
Some of the topics I will cover include:
register/842865513
If this will be your first webinar, don't worry it is easy. Just click on the link to sign-up and fill out the registration information. You will receive an email with a link to join the webinar. On Thursday, open the email, click on the link, and you will be ready to view the webinar. You may need to download a small file from Go To Webinar, but in only seconds you'll be ready to participate.
This webinar is a part of an ongoing professional development webinar series presented by Ave Maria Press in partnership with the National Association for Lay Ministry and the National Conference for Catechetical Leadership.
I hope to "see" you all there!

A Bit of Humor
A man bought several acres of wasteland and within a year, turned it into a thriving produce farm. The local priest stopped by and complimented the man on his vast progress. Then he added, "Wondrous things can surely happen when man and God work together."
"Amen," said the man, "but you should've seen the place when God was running it alone."
A farmer runs into the pastor of his church after missing the morning Mass. "I missed you at Mass this morning," the pastor says.
"Well, Father", the farmer says, "I had some hay to put up. I figured it was better to sit on a bale of hay thinking about God than to sit in church thinking about hay."
